The ambitious sci-fi RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, has impressively crossed the 30 million sales mark. This milestone was revealed by CD Projekt’s chief financial officer, Piotr Nielubowicz, as part of the company’s latest financial report for the quarter ending in September, according to VGC.
In addition to the game’s success, the Phantom Liberty expansion has also performed well, selling over eight million copies so far.
Looking ahead, fans have more to anticipate. Cyberpunk 2077 is set to become available on Mac devices soon, and another exciting animation project within the Cyberpunk universe is in the works.
“I’ve got some exciting updates straight from Night City,” Nielubowicz shared. “Cyberpunk 2077 has sold over 30 million copies, and the Phantom Liberty expansion has reached eight million in sales.”
These numbers highlight the massive fanbase and the widespread interest in the Cyberpunk universe. This is particularly significant as the company gears up to release the game and its expansion on Mac devices featuring Apple’s Silicon chips next year.
Adding to the excitement, Nielubowicz announced, “We’re thrilled to be developing another animation project set in the Cyberpunk world, which will be available on Netflix.”
