Devs United Games, the brains behind the Quest-exclusive hit, Real VR Fishing, have announced that fans can soon enjoy this beloved VR fishing experience on PC VR headsets starting next month.
Real VR Fishing is making its way to SteamVR headsets in early December. It’s set to offer the same exciting gameplay and pricing model as its Quest counterpart. For those on Steam, all previously released DLCs, including the US West Coast, US East Coast, and both Japan parts, will be available right from launch day.
The core game already offers plenty for anglers, featuring 40 unique fishing spots and over 150 species of fish. But with the addition of those individual DLCs, players will have access to a staggering 95 extra locations to explore and a collection of over 300 additional fish species to reel in.
While Quest players enjoy both solo and four-player multiplayer modes, it’s important to note that there won’t be cross-play multiplayer features between Quest, Pico, and PC VR platforms in the Steam version, as clarified by the studio in their discussion with Road to VR.
For the PC VR edition, players can look forward to some exciting extras like built-in YouTube and web browsing, along with regular monthly updates and options for customizing their aquarium.
Since its initial release on Quest back in late 2019, Real VR Fishing has reeled in a dedicated following, becoming the go-to fishing simulation on the platform with an impressive user rating of 4.6 out of 5 from more than 7,200 reviewers.
Interested players can now add Real VR Fishing to their wishlist on Steam in anticipation of its release early in December.
