Last week, Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl topped the charts as the best-selling game on Steam. Having launched on November 20th, the game has already surpassed the one million mark in sales. This figure doesn’t even include the players exploring it via Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass. It’s a triumph for the developers at GSC Game World, especially considering they had to overcome the immense challenges of working in a literal warzone to bring Stalker 2 to life.
In terms of sales rankings, Heart of Chornobyl managed to dethrone Counter-Strike 2, pushing it to the second spot. Meanwhile, Valve’s Steam Deck climbed two spots to secure third place after the release of a limited edition white version of the console, which hit the market on November 18th and quickly sold out.
PUBG: Battlegrounds and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 both slipped one position, now sitting in fourth and fifth places, respectively. Despite some technical hiccups that had been making headlines, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 made its debut at sixth place.
The forthcoming RPG Path of Exile 2, gearing up for its Early Access release in December, landed seventh in the rankings, bolstered by Supporter Packs that promise users access at launch. Climbing two places to eighth, Amazon and NCSoft’s Throne and Liberty edged out EA Sports FC 25, which finds itself in ninth. Rounding off the list at number ten is Dota 2.
