Studio Rocksteady is wrapping up its work on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League next month, signaling an end to the development of this beleaguered title. The team shared through a blog post that once Season 4 Episode 8 wraps, the game will no longer see new content additions, with this final update scheduled for January.
"You can expect Season 4 Episode 8 to be the concluding chapter against Brainiac," Rocksteady explained. "However, rest assured that all online features will remain at your disposal. You can still team up with friends for co-op play and enjoy all the previous seasonal and episodic content." They also introduced an Offline mode, which lets players dive into the main story campaign and the entirety of the post-launch content without needing an internet connection.
When the game made its debut in January, it was met with a lukewarm reception and underwhelming sales figures. Warner Bros, the game’s publisher, candidly admitted that the title did not live up to their expectations.
