Aspyr and Crystal Dynamics have officially announced when Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered will be hitting the Nintendo Switch, providing fans of Lara Croft with an exciting date to circle on their calendars.
Following the successful revisit of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, which brought new life to the adventures of the iconic British archaeologist, the team is now back to continue Lara’s journey with the next trio of games. These instalments, famously dubbed the Darkness Trilogy, include:
-
Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation – In this thrilling chapter, Lara Croft stumbles upon the ancient tomb of the Egyptian God Set. Unfortunately, she accidentally unleashes Set, setting off a prophecy that threatens to cast the world into eternal darkness.
-
Tomb Raider: Chronicles – Picking up after the dramatic events of The Last Revelation, we find Lara presumed dead, buried within an Egyptian tomb. The story unfolds at her memorial, where those who knew her best recount untold tales from her mysterious past.
- Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness – Here, we see Lara on the run, falsely accused of murder. As a fugitive, she gets tangled up in a complex web of alchemical experiments and ancient artifacts, piecing together a dark conspiracy.
In addition to bringing these classic titles back, the developers have introduced a Photo Mode, a fan-favorite feature that allows players to capture their favorite moments in detail. A detailed blog post explains how this exciting feature operates within the remastered collection.
The publisher has highlighted key elements of this remastered package:
-
Classic and Remastered Visuals: Revisit Lara’s adventures with either the original graphics or switch to the beautifully updated, remastered visuals that refresh the world’s environments, characters, and artifacts.
-
Global Adventures: Travel alongside Lara as she explores diverse locations, from the ancient tombs of Egypt in The Last Revelation to the shadowy streets of Paris in The Angel of Darkness.
