After the phenomenal reception of Tomb Raider I–III Remastered, we’re thrilled to continue Lara’s journey with even more thrilling adventures. Thanks to the passionate Tomb Raider community, an exciting remastered experience is in store with Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered, launching on February 14. This time, we’ve introduced exclusive tools and fresh ways to delve into these iconic tales.
In this write-up, we’re exploring these exciting additions—the features that will change the way you experience Lara’s world, turning this remastered series into a heartfelt creation for both developers and fans.
Capture Every Epic Moment
Photo Mode is back and it’s better than ever! Building upon the beloved features from the previous trilogy, you’ll still have countless poses and weapons for Lara Croft. This collection offers all the photo goodies from the first set plus a ton of new ones to discover!
Introducing the Flyby Camera Maker
One of the standout features of Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered is the Flyby Camera Maker, an innovative tool that lets players create dynamic, cinematic shots. You can design a moving camera path through any scene, opening up endless creative opportunities.
Check out this demo showing the Flyby Camera Maker in action:
Simply set up to 20 cameras along a path wherever you like. Scroll through the shots to tweak settings like Roll, Field-of-View, Zoom, and movement speed. Hit play—it’s as easy as that!
And it doesn’t stop there—Lara herself can take center stage. Using Photo Mode, you can position her in your custom shot, adjusting her stance, expression, weapons, and outfit to fit the moment’s style. This tool isn’t just for movie buffs—it’s for anyone who wants to explore Tomb Raider’s world through a filmmaker’s perspective.
The enormous number of Photo-Mode creations shared online by the community has left us amazed, and this is our way of contributing to that. Keep sharing your creations!
Ammo Counter
We’re introducing another feature to boost your game: the Ammo Counter. Now, you can see a sleek on-screen display showing remaining ammo for each weapon. Whether managing resources during intense battles or planning your next move, the Ammo Counter will keep you sharp and ready.
Cutscene Skipper
We know how passionate our fanbase is about replaying these games, so we’ve made it easier to skip through chitchat and jump back into the action. Of course, it’s your choice—rewatch that cutscene for the fifth time if you want! Maybe you’ll unlock a hidden achievement—or maybe not. Either way, enjoy having options!
New Animations
Lara’s hallmark agility and grace come alive even more in Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered with new animations that enrich the gameplay. For example:
-
Slide To Run: Keep running after a slope by pushing forward. It’s a toggled option in the settings and revives an unused animation from the original games.
-
Hang on a Ledge (behind): Lara will step safely onto a ledge behind when you press the Action or secondary button.
-
Hang on a Ledge (front): Do the same for a ledge in front while walking.
- Turn Around in Place: Make Lara turn while standing by pressing the Roll button, exclusive to Modern controls.
Classic Cheat Codes Return
Fans delight! The nostalgic cheat codes are back in Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered. Whether you’re looking for infinite ammo, level skips, or other classic tricks, the cheats work as originally intended. And if you need a refresher, Aspyr’s support site will have a full list ready as we approach launch.
An Invitation to Revisit and Rediscover
