Gamers using the PS5 Pro are in for a visual treat with the upcoming release of an RPG that’s garnering a lot of attention. Thanks to the advanced PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) technology, players can prepare for "stunning visual fidelity." The highly anticipated RPG making waves is Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds, set for release on February 28.
Monster Hunter Wilds is the latest RPG launching with PS5 Pro support
Monster Hunter Wilds is the newest addition to a growing lineup of blockbuster AAA titles designed with PS5 Pro capabilities right out of the gate. Capcom assures gamers that the game will deliver enhanced visual quality without skimping on performance. However, they do caution that frame rates might occasionally drop during intense gaming moments requiring high system demands.
Here’s a look at the PS5 Pro’s specific enhancements for the game:
-
Prioritize Resolution: With ray tracing turned on, players can enjoy an output and rendering resolution of 3840 x 2160 and 3072 x 1728 respectively, though the frame rate will be at 30 fps.
-
Balanced: This mode also supports ray tracing, providing an output and rendering resolution of 3840 x 2160 and 2496 x 1404, but boosts the frame rate to 40 fps.
- Prioritize Frame Rate: Turn off ray tracing for this mode to hit a sweet spot of 60 fps, with output and rendering resolutions of 3840 x 2160 and 1920 x 1080.
Just as a heads-up, Monster Hunter Wilds will be available for another free beta test starting later today and running through to Sunday evening, February 9. Dive in by downloading the beta from the PS Store and see what the buzz is all about.
