Nearly two decades have passed since the original Titan Quest first captivated us on our PCs, standing as a formidable contender to Diablo with its action-packed RPG set in the realm of Greek mythology. Enthusiasm is high for its long-awaited sequel, Titan Quest 2, despite the crowded landscape of action RPGs today. Just ahead of its early access launch, Grimlore Games is reaching out to attract “thousands” of players to test out the game.
Titan Quest 2 is promising to steer clear of loot boxes and live service gimmicks, and it recently unveiled a surprise Rogue class available right from day one of early access. From the glimpses I’ve had of the gameplay, it seems to be a vibrant and challenging competitor to heavyweights like Diablo 4 and Path of Exile 2. Ken’s early hands-on session during last year’s Gamescom left him feeling incredibly positive about what’s in store.
If you’re eager to dive in and see how this upcoming RPG measures up, then its “exclusive closed playtest” might be just what you’re looking for. Sign-ups have opened, and the playtests will be conducted on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. “Request access to be among the chosen ones who will don their armor, wield their weapons, and battle the forces of chaos,” Grimlore invites potential testers. “Experience epic combat, heroic feats, and get a taste of what’s to come when Early Access kicks off!”
Although the playtest is closed, Grimlore aims to enlist “thousands of brave warriors,” so your chances of getting an invite are pretty promising.
Regarding the early access launch, there isn’t an official date or timeline just yet, but today’s playtest announcement hints that it might be imminent. If the playtests feature the same content planned for early access, it suggests we might not have much longer to wait. We’ll keep you updated the moment a date is officially announced.
If you’re keen on joining the Titan Quest 2 playtest, Steam enthusiasts can register here, while Epic fans can sign up here.
