Nintendo has announced that the Nintendo Direct event for the Nintendo Switch 2 is scheduled to air tomorrow, Wednesday, April 2, 2025. They’ve mentioned that this presentation is expected to last about 60 minutes.
You can catch all the action at 6 AM PT, 9 AM ET, 2 PM BST, or 3 PM CEST, depending on your time zone.
Last month, the Nintendo Switch 2 was officially introduced to the public, finally putting an end to all the speculation, leaked details, and hushed conversations about what this new portable console would offer as the successor to the popular original.
In its brief teaser, we got a glimpse of the new console’s design, along with an exciting hint at a new Mario Kart game. The video also reassured fans that the hardware would still support games from the original portable home console, making the upgrade path smoother for existing users.
Nintendo elaborated, stating that the Nintendo Switch 2 will support both physical cartridges and digital copies of Nintendo Switch games. However, they did caution that not all current Switch games might function perfectly or be fully supported on the new device.
As for when we can get our hands on it, the Nintendo Switch 2 is slated for a global release sometime in 2025, though they haven’t nailed down the exact launch date just yet.
