By mid-April, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers gained access to an exciting new perk from Microsoft called “Stream Your Own Game.” This feature, previously available only to Xbox Insiders, allows subscribers to enjoy specific Xbox games they own on various devices, courtesy of Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Initially rolled out in November 2024 to Xbox Insiders with Game Pass Ultimate, “Stream Your Own Game” permits players to stream their own game library—even those games not part of the Game Pass catalog. By December 2024, the service was extended to include Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles, though still limited to a select group of insiders. Now, beyond just consoles, it’s also accessible on devices like Windows PCs, VR platforms, Amazon Fire TVs, and many smartphones running iOS or Android.
In recent developments, the game The First Berserker: Khazan has become part of the list of supported titles for this streaming service. According to VGC, every Game Pass Ultimate member can now take advantage of the Stream Your Own Game function. This began in earnest on April 16, marking its debut outside the confines of the Insiders program. Now, even those without an Xbox Series X/S can buy and stream certain titles not included in Game Pass on systems like Xbox One, thereby saving on-device storage space. The Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription itself is priced at $19.99 monthly.
The subscription not only provides access to the usual Game Pass library of downloadable Xbox and PC games but also offers day-one availability for various Xbox Game Studios releases. Stream Your Own Game currently includes titles from third-party developers like Square Enix and a variety of indie creators. Subscribers can now stream graphically demanding games such as Final Fantasy 14, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Cyberpunk 2077 to Xbox One consoles or directly through browsers like Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
Bear in mind, both Xbox Cloud Gaming and Stream Your Own Game necessitate a stable internet connection, with recommended download speeds of at least 20 Mbps via Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi. As it stands, 125 Xbox titles support the Stream Your Own Game feature, with plans to add more games in the coming months of May and June.
With Xbox Game Pass Ultimate being the pinnacle of Microsoft’s game subscription services—offering over 100 game titles with a single purchase—it represents one of the best values in the Xbox ecosystem today.
