ASRock’s latest lineup of Radeon RX 9070 graphics cards has made a buzz online with sneak peeks at their Steel Legend and Taichi custom models.
### ASRock’s Custom RX 9070 Series GPU Models Make an Early Appearance Online, Teasing Sleek Designs
ASRock seems to be gearing up for a promising release of AMD’s upcoming RDNA 4 GPUs, notably the Radeon RX 9070 and the RX 9070 XT. Although we haven’t seen official imagery from other AIB (Add-In Board) partners yet, ASRock’s cards have been spotted in the wild, showcasing three distinct models: Steel Legend, Taichi, and Challenger. The Taichi is positioned as the premium model, sporting a sophisticated triple-fan setup paired with a substantial heatsink, which explains its chunky three-slot design.
A standout feature of the Taichi version is its 12V-2×6 power connector. Interestingly, this isn’t a universal addition among all models; AMD has given partners like ASRock some flexibility based on specific power needs. This connector can deliver up to 600W, suggesting the Taichi is built for high performance and robust overclocking potential.
Moving onto the Steel Legend, this model aims to sit comfortably in the mid-range segment. It comes in striking white and silver designs and follows a 2.5-slot triple fan architecture. Unlike the Taichi, it relies on the more common 2x 8-pin connector, which is typical for AMD’s partner models—excluding the more top-tier options like Taichi.
As for when gamers can get their hands on these cutting-edge GPUs, the word on the street is that we might see them hit the shelves as soon as next week, coinciding with the anticipated start of AMD’s pre-orders for the RX 9070 lineup.
