Last week, the pre-orders for Monster Hunter Wilds made it the third most popular title on Steam. As we look forward to its release on February 28th, excitement is clearly building for this latest installment in Capcom’s beloved action RPG saga. Reflecting back on 2019 when Monster Hunter Worlds made its debut, Capcom revealed it became their second-best-performing title on PC, highlighting the game’s significant impact on the platform.
Meanwhile, Counter-Strike 2 has reclaimed the top spot, followed closely by Civilization 7. Originally launching on February 10th, this strategy game started strong at number three, but with just a single day’s worth of data at first, its impressive launch week performance might have been understated. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has slipped to fourth place after selling two million copies, and Apex Legends surged 22 places to land at number five, thanks to a fresh season of content thrilling its audience.
On the other hand, Valve’s Steam Deck, along with PUBG: Battlegrounds and Marvel Rivals, have each dropped a spot, now sitting in sixth, seventh, and eighth places respectively. Making its debut at ninth is Obsidian’s new RPG, Avowed. Warframe managed to crack the top ten again, climbing up two positions.
Here’s how the Steam Top Ten shook out for the week ending February 18th:
1. Counter-Strike 2, Valve
2. Sid Meier’s Civilization 7, 2K Games
3. Monster Hunter Wilds, Capcom (P)
