The holiday season is here, and gamers everywhere are spending their nights glued to their Xbox consoles, eagerly anticipating the latest updates. Their patience pays off when a surprise system update notification pops up, bringing an array of fixes and fresh features. Before they know it, players are diving back into their virtual battles, tackling in-game challenges with renewed vigor.
Gather ’round, Xbox Insiders, for a special holiday update! First and foremost, the team sends warm wishes for a joyous holiday season and a safe New Year. Personally, I’m not a fan of the biting cold and early evenings that this time of year brings, but they do make for perfect gaming weather. It’s the ideal excuse to get cozy in your favorite sweater and indulge in some Xbox fun indoors.
As with every holiday season, our team has paused the release of preview builds on consoles and PCs to ensure a smooth gaming experience during this festive time. We remain dedicated to future updates, constantly reviewing your feedback. We’re here to tackle any issues that may crop up, so keep your feedback coming. And remember, the Insider Hub will be bustling with new content throughout December and January!
From Our Team to You
We’re truly grateful for each and every one of you who makes our community incredible. My pride in being part of the Xbox Insider Program knows no bounds, and I want you to know how much we value your support.
Before wrapping up, I caught up with a few team members to see what they’re up to during the holidays—whether it’s gaming, unwinding, or something completely different. Here’s what they shared:
-
Jon is determined to finish "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle" and dive into the "Ode to Castlevania" DLC for Vampire Survivors.
-
Joshua can’t wait to rewatch all the classic holiday films and is equally excited to explore "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle."
-
Tim has a penchant for challenging games and is currently absorbed in Nine Sols. He’s also looking forward to family visits during the holidays.
-
Donovan plans to immerse himself in Path of Exile 2, spend time with loved ones, and, like many, plans to enjoy nostalgic Christmas movies to get into the holiday spirit.
-
Sally is indulging in holiday treats, playing cozy games, and crossing her fingers for new PowerWash Simulator DLC. Of course, she’s spending time with family and friends too.
- Leland has a unique tradition. Every year, he selects two story-driven games that have made it onto his coveted ‘must-play’ list. Then, come mid-December, he disconnects to dive deep into those worlds, savoring every moment.
As for myself, I’ve finally wrapped up the Black Ops 6 camo grind, making the game more enjoyable than ever. I’m also keen on completing achievements in Aliens: Dark Descent, all while battling the elements to keep my geese’s pond from freezing over, just like every winter.
Now, we want to hear from you! What games have captured your interest this month, or what are your holiday plans?
