Are you itching to get your hands on Dune Awakening after all the buzz? Well, good news! The wait is nearly over. There’s a free open beta weekend approaching from May 9 to May 12, giving you a taste of the game before it officially drops.
To join in, you need to wishlist the game before May 9 for a shot at gaining access. Alternatively, you could snag one of the many beta codes the team will be handing out that weekend. So, it’s kind of open—but only if you’re lucky enough to get in. Consider it a door slightly ajar.
Interestingly, this beta opportunity pops up just before the original launch date, which was set for May 15. The release was pushed back a bit so Funcom could ensure everything is just right for the big launch.
During the beta, you’ll explore the first two regions, which should occupy you for around 20 hours. This includes delving into Research Facilities, testing out early class abilities, and engaging in some PvP at ship crash sites. It’s a sneak peek that’ll give you a good feel of what’s to come. Check out our latest preview of Dune Awakening that dives into this experience further.
Excited to dive into the open beta? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
