Great news for racing game enthusiasts! Playground Games has officially announced that Forza Horizon 5 will be making its way to the PlayStation 5. So if you’ve already checked off all those Forza Horizon 5 achievements on Xbox and you’re itching for another go, you’ll soon be able to dive into the world of PlayStation trophies. While we don’t have an exact date yet, PS5 gamers can look forward to hitting the tracks by spring.
Playground Games confirmed in a blog post that Forza Horizon 5 will be the next title to jump from its Xbox exclusivity to the PS5. This transition is being expertly handled by Panic Button, in collaboration with Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games themselves. They’re promising a spring 2025 release, inviting a whole new community to the adrenaline-pumping Horizon Festival. With nearly 900 cars to choose from, more than 40 themed updates, and two expansive add-ons already a part of the package, there’s a lot to get revved up about. PS5 players will soon have their chance to cruise through the stunning Mexican landscapes and dive into this celebrated festival for the first time.
The PS5 version will mirror the Xbox rendition entirely, offering the same expansions like Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure, alongside previously released car packs available for purchase. But that’s not all—Playground Games has also teased a “special new free content update” called Horizon Realms, which will roll out across all platforms. This update promises to let players explore a curated collection of fan-favorite Evolving Worlds, sprinkled with some surprises to keep things exciting.
