Many believe that these enchanting occurrences are blessings from the Ancestors, reaching out from beyond in celebration of this vibrant occasion.
By activating any shrine in Sanctuary—including Nahantu—you’ll receive a massive 100% multiplicative bonus to your experience gain for two minutes, alongside an enhanced power. Plus, as an added bonus, you’ll be stacking up your Ancestral Favor Reputation.
To make the most of Lunar Awakening, head over to Ked Bardu and find your way to the northern section of town. This is where you’ll run into Ying-Yue, who leads the bustling Lunar Night Market. Here, you can exchange your hard-earned Ancestral Favor Reputation for Unceasing Gifts from the Ancestors caches, as well as beautiful Lunar Renewal-themed items.
Lunar Shrines are scattered all over Sanctuary. As you journey through dungeons and the vast wilderness, make sure to activate these shrines and defeat monsters to rack up large amounts of Ancestral Favor Reputation.
Lunar Shrines hum with the special powers imbued by the Ancestors who have returned. Throughout Lunar Awakening, all shrines have transformed into Lunar Shrines, offering a 100% experience boost upon activation. They’ve also been given a fresh look to celebrate the Year of the Snake! While they operate like regular shrines, these have been supercharged to add extra excitement to this festive period. Their unique map icons help you spot them from afar.
These shrines come with their own set of thrilling bonus effects, elevating the adventure. Here’s a rundown of the amplified Lunar Shrine effects:
- Artillery Shrine: Casts now have the chance to summon a holy bomb.
- Blast Wave Shrine: Each explosion triggers a cluster bombardment.
- Channeling Shrine: Enjoy increased attack speed and a chance to reset cooldowns.
- Conduit Shrine: Expect frequent and powerful shocking strikes.
- Greed Shrine: A potential to summon a Treasure Goblin. While active, each kill might summon one too.
- Lethal Shrine: Provides a chance to instantly execute any struck monster, making nearby enemies tremble in fear. This includes Elites, excluding Bosses and Players.
- Protection Shrine: Reflect all incoming damage, with the damage reflected scaling to your level and difficulty.
Moreover, Miserly Spirits will spawn instantly when a Lunar Shrine is activated, letting you quickly embrace the unique gameplay enhancements of each shrine.
There are 10 Ancestral Favor Reputation Levels to climb, and with them, a host of rewards such as a Resplendent Spark and various Lunar-themed cosmetic items. Unlock treasures like the coveted Trag’Oul’s Consort mount. After reaching the peak reputation level, keep earning rewards through Unceasing Gifts from the Ancestors.
