Hello Trailblazers! It’s been a bit since our last chat, but we’re thrilled to share some exciting updates from the Honkai: Star Rail dev team. We’re diving into what’s coming with version 2.7, “A New Venture on the Eighth Dawn,” which is set to launch on December 4. This is the concluding chapter in our current storyline before we embark on a quest to the enigmatic world of Amphoreus, also known as the Eternal Land. As we say goodbye to Penacony, we’re paving the way for the adventures awaiting us in version 3.0.
In our last adventures, Black Swan guided us toward Amphoreus—a place so shrouded in mystery that even Akivili, the Aeon of the Trailblaze, never reached it. Miss Himeko, ever the prudent Navigator, is busy collecting all available data about this intriguing realm. Meanwhile, the Crew makes a final pit stop in Penacony where they rekindle old friendships and cherish their last memories before setting out on the next audacious expedition.
### Old friends stepping back into the limelight
Remember that unforgettable performance at the Penacony Grand Theater? It’s almost like it happened just yesterday. Sunday, refreshed and ready, is taking the stage once again. He’s chosen to pivot from heading the Oak Family to “Descend to the mortal realm and walk their lands,” seeking authenticity in the world. By shedding the blessings of Harmony and Order, Sunday’s on a mission to pursue a utopian dream as one of us. With Wonweek’s secretive help, Sunday returns to Penacony, aiming for a final, landmark performance before starting his new path. Donning a new look with a robe and hood, Sunday hides his true self while delivering his last dance on this Planet of Festivities.
As a 5-star Imaginary character, Sunday stands out with unique Support skills. His Skill allows an ally to act immediately and boosts their damage. If there’s a Summon, both the ally and the Summon can act instantly, enhancing the Damage Boost even more. When Sunday unleashes his Ultimate, Energy is regenerated for an ally, and both they and their Summon become The Beatified, receiving a CRIT DMG increase with a symbolic halo.
Also making a grand entrance is Fugue, or as we knew her before, Tingyun. Once a clever foxian girl, she now faces her identity being hijacked. Yet, fate hasn’t abandoned her; though remnants of Destruction still linger, hope remains. Barely surviving after her dramatic clash with Phantylia during version 1.2’s significant storyline, Tingyun was granted a second shot at life by Madam Ruan Mei from the Genius Society. Lately, Himeko and Welt visited Madam Ruan Mei and committed to bringing Miss Tingyun back home, rekindling her journey.
Fugue, a 5-star Fire character, excels at bolstering an ally to reduce Toughness regardless of the enemy’s vulnerabilities. While she’s in play, her foes are marked with the Cloudflame Luster effect. Once this is depleted, the enemy suffers Break DMG once more. Moreover, when teammates strike Weakness Broken foes, they deal extra Super Break DMG. Fugue’s Technique further amps up ally characters’ Break Effect. Upon using her Ultimate, she delivers Fire DMG to all enemies, ignoring their Weakness Type to directly cut down their Toughness.
Fans of General Jing Yuan and Firefly will be thrilled as they’ll be making a comeback during the first and second halves of the version 2.7 warp event. Their impressive support capabilities make them indispensable companions for upcoming quests.
