Just as the much-anticipated television adaptation of The Last of Us hits screens, Sony and Naughty Dog have launched The Last of Us Complete. This freshly re-released collection brings together the beloved The Last of Us Part 1 and Part 2 in a single package designed for PlayStation 5 users.
Is this the final chapter for The Last of Us?
Available now on the PlayStation Store, The Last of Us Complete combines both games and their respective downloadable content. This includes the Left Behind prequel chapter from Part 1 and the Lost Levels of Part 2. It’s a tempting offer for anyone with a PS5 who hasn’t yet explored these iconic games, priced at $99.99 for the bundle.
Neil Druckmann from Naughty Dog shared his insights on the PlayStation Blog, saying, “The complete experiences of Part I and Part II Remastered are the definitive ways to play each of these games. Our team has rebuilt The Last of Us Part I from scratch with PlayStation 5 features in mind, like full DualSense support and 3D audio. With The Last of Us Part II Remastered, players not only experience an enhanced sequel but gain access to extras like hours of commentary, Lost Levels, the roguelike No Return mode, and Guitar Free Play.”
Collectors, rejoice! A physical edition of The Last of Us Complete hits the shelves on July 10. Pre-orders are open exclusively on PlayStation Direct. Here’s what you’ll find in the Collector’s Edition:
- A Steelbook® Case holding the physical discs of The Last of Us™ Part I and The Last of Us™ Part II Remastered
- The Left Behind prequel chapter
- A complete set of The Last of Us: American Dreams Comics #1-#4 with unique cover art
- Four lithographic art prints
- A heartfelt Thank You letter from Neil Druckmann
So, is this really the end for The Last of Us? Recently, Druckmann hinted about the series’ future, saying, “Don’t bet on there being more.” Given this bundle’s "complete" label, it seems Naughty Dog may be ready to close the chapter on its post-apocalyptic saga, at least for now.
