The ranks on this week’s Xbox gameplay chart have held firm at the top six, yet there’s been a noticeable uptick in players diving into Far Cry New Dawn to chase those achievements, especially now that it’s back on Game Pass. With a slew of exciting Game Pass titles on the horizon, we might soon see some new contenders shaking up the top 40.
Sniper Elite: Resistance continues to perform strongly since its Game Pass debut, rising a notch to secure the seventh spot. If you’re undecided about trying it out, Sean gave it some compelling praise in his review. A bit further down the list, Halo Infinite is making waves as well, climbing from 23rd to 17th following its latest update.
Turning to Far Cry New Dawn, it has charted back on the leaderboard, securing the 19th position thanks to its recent return to Game Pass. Unfortunately, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has taken a slide this week, moving down to 22nd from 18th. While it’s a stellar game, the influx of upcoming Game Pass titles makes it challenging to juggle multiple major releases.
Ninja Gaiden 2 Black had recently tasted success after a surprise release on Xbox, but it has now taken a tumble, descending from 11th to 24th. Similarly, Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap, another fresh Game Pass addition, has slipped to the 31st spot.
Making a comeback on the chart this week are Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II at number 33, and No Man’s Sky at 36. Both have drawn players back with significant updates. Meanwhile, Eternal Strands, a Game Pass newcomer, has fallen from 19th to 38th, and Hell Let Loose rounds off the list in the 40th position.
Interestingly, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II hasn’t cracked the top 40 yet, despite being a highly anticipated sequel. This could be because it’s a hefty RPG not yet available on Game Pass, leading some players to wait for the right moment to dive in.
