Recently, Dead by Daylight unveiled two special codes that offer players free goodies, ranging from aesthetic enhancements to valuable in-game currency. The game, which launched in 2016, remains a thrilling multiplayer survival horror experience and is playable on various platforms, including PC, consoles, and mobiles.
Initially, Dead by Daylight faced some bumps in the road but has since flourished, drawing in tens of thousands of players each day. Its intense gameplay, featuring a suspenseful chase and escape dynamic between one Killer and multiple Survivors, continues to captivate a vast audience. The game, developed by Behaviour Interactive, has maintained its popularity for over eight years, with Steam showing a peak of over 44,000 users playing concurrently. The Canadian developers contribute to this ongoing enthusiasm by frequently updating the game and introducing collaborations that incorporate pop culture references, like skins inspired by the iconic Alien franchise.
On Twitter, the game’s official page shared two codes for players to redeem in the in-game store. By entering “IFLOOKSCOULDCHILL,” players can add a frosty touch to their characters with unique icy blue glowing eyes. The second code, “MAKEITREINDEER,” gifts players 250,000 Bloodpoints, which are essential for the development and improvement of characters within the game. However, this particular code is time-sensitive, expiring on January 7, 2025, and was part of an apology gesture for previously encountered issues during the Bone Chill event.
In addition to these codes, there is a Winter-themed event offering other limited-time items like outfits, weapons, charms, and bonuses, all available until January 7 at 11 AM ET/8 AM PT. While these free codes provide a quick incentive for players to jump in, the ongoing event’s exclusive rewards can maintain engagement throughout the holiday season. Together, these presents a fantastic opportunity for players to accumulate Bloodpoints, essential for character advancement.
Thanks to the widespread success of the Dead by Daylight franchise, it has been branched into various other media, including comic books and board games in 2023. Its next venture is a feature film, overseen by horror film experts Jason Blum and James Wan. Although there isn’t a specific release date yet, Blum mentioned in October 2024 that the movie script could take between one and five years to complete.
