Update 1.2 Released for Frontiers of Pandora

Massive Entertainment just dropped a significant update for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, along with the latest expansion, Secret of the Spires, perfectly timed as the game’s first anniversary looms on the horizon.

Frontiers of Pandora invites players into an expansive world inspired by James Cameron’s acclaimed sci-fi films. Since its debut on December 7, 2023, the Ubisoft title has steadily evolved through a series of updates that enhance features, stabilize the experience, and tackle pesky bugs. This newest update follows that trend, packing a bunch of improvements and a whole new region to explore.

The update, released on November 28, goes hand in hand with the Secret of the Spires expansion, which was initially slated for November 26 but faced a minor delay due to an unexpected issue. This new content ushers players into the Spires of the Clouded Forest and brings with it a fresh storyline, side quests, activities, new skills, and gear to sink your teeth into.

A notable highlight is the added support for the PlayStation 5 Pro. Gamers on this platform can now dive into Pandora’s breathtaking landscapes with a smooth 60 frames per second when using Quality Mode. In contrast, the standard PS5 struggles to hit half that speed under the same conditions. Besides delivering smoother gameplay, the PS5 Pro version boasts superior rendering resolution, thanks to the PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR). This upscaling tech leverages AI to enhance graphical quality, ensuring a captivating visual experience even in games not natively optimized for the console.

Moreover, Title Update 1.2 enriches gameplay by unlocking new skills for your trusted Ikran mount, further deepening the immersive experience. The update also irons out multiple known bugs, such as the peculiar issue of players receiving loot without completing objectives.

Installing the update requires 24.32 GB of free space on a PC. For console players, the download will take up 18 GB on the PS5 and 17.5 GB on the Xbox Series X/S.
