Fans of Dimension 20 have an exciting new way to dive into their favorite series. Today, Webtoon revealed that it’s teaming up with Dropout’s Dimension 20 to create a comic series inspired by the Fantasy High setting, where Dungeons & Dragons meets the vibe of a John Hughes film.
Fantasy High, the first and most enduring world explored by Dimension 20’s main crew, spans three full seasons and a number of spin-offs. Here, you’ll find a fascinating blend of fantasy and the familiar, with tieflings and goblins navigating high school hallways, elves dealing with hair issues, and group chats carried out through crystal texts. While Webtoon hasn’t yet shared details about the creative team behind their new venture, simply titled Fantasy High, they did offer a glimpse into the plot:
The story is about a group of teenage misfits trying to survive the usual high school drama, but with a magical twist. When some students at their school start vanishing without a trace, this unconventional bunch bands together to uncover a dark scheme. Their journey is packed with intrigue, humor, and heartwarming scenes.
Notably, Webtoon mentioned the series is planned to last for 61 episodes, suggesting it will cover the events of Fantasy High’s first season. This season introduces us to fresh-faced adventurers Kristen Applebees, Gorgug Thistlespring, Fabian Seacaster, Riz Gukgak, Adaine Abernant, and Fig Faeth, who find themselves entangled in a mystery involving the disappearance of seven students from their school, the unique Aguefort Adventuring Academy.
According to Webtoon, we can expect the Fantasy High comic to hit the platform this spring. Take a peek at the promotional image they released to stir up excitement below.
