After unveiling the Immortal Pillars expansion at Tokyo Game Show, we’re thrilled to announce its launch on March 4th, and pre-orders are already open. This update is packed with fresh content, introducing the Chinese pantheon alongside stunning new maps, mythical units, and innovative gameplay features. Take a look at what’s in store!

Age of Empires II: DE and Age of Mythology: Retold Are Coming to PlayStation 5
I’ve got exciting news! We’re expanding the playing field by bringing Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Age of Mythology: Retold to PlayStation 5. This step isn’t merely about convenience; it’s about uniting our community on a grander scale. Cross-play heralds a new era for the franchise, forging a global battlefield where every strategy and empire counts.
On March 4, expect Age of Mythology: Retold to dive further into new myths and cultures alongside the Immortal Pillars expansion. PlayStation 5 users will join the adventure with all the content available on Xbox and PC versions. They’ll also enjoy the new Chinese pantheon when they purchase Immortal Pillars. Plus, the Premium Edition offers early access starting February 27th, along with the expansion and more exclusive goodies.
Of course, starting March 4th, all updates will roll out simultaneously across Steam, Windows Store, Xbox, and PlayStation 5, allowing players to engage in battles together.

Two DLCs for Age IV: New Ways to Play in 2025
This is an exciting time for Age of Empires IV players! Last year, we talked about developing new DLC for Age IV and now, we are kicking off 2025 with not just one, but two DLC releases.
With these updates, we’re building on previously-introduced concepts like variant civilizations that reflect diverse historical strategies and forces, guided by your feedback. We’re diving deep into exciting developments, some of which our community has hinted at wanting since The Sultans Ascend release. This new wave brings a massive array of new units and buildings, updating visuals for better understanding and fresh gameplay experiences.
We’re also exploring unique game modes focusing on shorter, repeatable play to encourage new skills. The first DLC, Knights of Cross and Rose, launches this spring, offering new gameplay experiences and challenge modes for seasoned strategists. Stay tuned for more details.
